Keeping a beer cold once it is outside the cool climate of a fridge or beer tap is an age-old problem! How the Tjiller works
The Tjiller is made from a very hard polystyrene outer shell which acts to insulate an inner-layer of special gel which can be cooled to very low temperatures (in any typical household freezer). On the inside of the Tjiller (the part that touches the can, bottle or glass) there is an aluminium membrane which releases the cold from the gel very slowly, hence why it is able to keep drinks cold for so long. As mentioned the Tjiller is best stored in the freezer and should reach it's coldest temperature in about 8 hours (so leave it overnight for best results).
